The "Długie Ogrody" project prioritizes preserving existing underground infrastructure, minimizing costly modifications, and maximizing resource efficiency. Tree planting and water retention systems are carefully integrated without disrupting utilities, ensuring a cost-effective and low-impact transformation.
A key focus is biodiversity, moving away from monocultures to a diverse mix of native trees, fruit species, and pollinator-friendly plants. This enhances climate resilience, air quality, and urban cooling while supporting local ecosystems.
The project is also community-driven, with a phased approach that allows public feedback, ensures accessibility, and fosters social interaction through sports facilities, gathering spaces, and green hubs.
By combining rational planning, ecological responsibility, and public engagement, "Długie Ogrody" becomes a sustainable and inclusive urban renewal model.
