Woźniki Manor is a historic farmstead that once played a central role in the life of the town. Built with ambition and craftsmanship, its architecture reflects a unique combination of local limestone and brick, with well-preserved timber structures hidden beneath the roofs. After World War II, the site was turned into a State Agricultural Farm, and following the collapse of communism, it fell into decline. Over time, buildings were damaged, nature reclaimed the area, and the once vibrant place became an abandoned fragment of the city.
Today, the manor stands as both a reminder of the past and a challenge for the present. The project’s vision is to reintegrate the site with the city by opening it up for everyday use, creating new connections and public pathways through the grounds. Rather than turning it into a static museum or temporary attraction, the goal is to preserve the existing potential of the buildings while allowing them to be adapted for various future functions.
Alongside conservation, the project introduces new multifunctional and public spaces – from playgrounds and sports fields to leisure zones – designed to serve as meeting points for local communities. In this way, Woźniki Manor can once again become a lively part of the city, blending history with contemporary urban life.
