In seemingly chaotic structures and soft forms of natural organisms, there are deep rules and principles. By analyzing proportions and divisions, we find consistent values across various entities. This hidden beauty, complex and difficult to perceive due to its scale and ubiquity, inspired our concept for the observation tower, balancing on the edge of subtle harmony.

The design is influenced by the experience of walking through forest paths, with layers of vegetation that reveal and obscure views. The tower’s structure is divided into five segments, mirroring the forest’s layers and providing educational stops on each level. These stops offer rest and insight into different forest layers, creating a journey that feels like climbing through an ecosystem. The varied routes within the tower encourage visitors to explore, discover, and appreciate the diverse views and perspectives.

We aim to blend the tower into the landscape with a simple, unassuming wooden structure, referencing local materials and traditional forms, like observation posts. The façade uses vertical boards, mimicking the vertical rhythm of the forest. The dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day enhances the experience, making the ascent feel like moving through tree canopies. This thoughtful integration with the environment makes the observation journey itself a unique and engaging experience.
