The Aderu Namas project emerged from a dialogue and curiosity, resulting from a process of exploring Latvian culture—its beliefs, art, and architecture. The name refers to Latvian beliefs about living in harmony with nature. Aderu are underground water veins endowed with energy. The resulting architecture does not compete with anything; instead, it complements the story of the place, the landscape, and the community. In this concept, the twin structure serves two families.

Residents have access to a shared dining area and workshop. As we move deeper into the building, we pass through the kitchen and arrive at the living room. The heart of the house is its chimney. Reflecting the historical approach to space creation, the new design also emphasizes this function. The chimney contains all the functional elements of the house: it houses the kitchen, bathroom, and a floor with two bedrooms.
